Install Two Veterans Administration Markers
A gift of $250 to the Green-Wood Historic Fund will install two markers from the U.S. Veterans Administration denoting heroic service of Civil War veterans who lie in unmarked graves in Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery. More than 4,600 Civil War soldiers are interred at Green-Wood – sadly, more than 2,000 are in unmarked graves.
The Green-Wood Historic Fund supports an array of preservation projects, community outreach events and educational programs offered throughout the year at Green-Wood, a National Historic Landmark that dates back to 1838.
