TOGETHER, WE'RE MAKING AN IMPACT
ACCESS – All four of Green-Wood’s entrances are now open every day of the week. We are proud to share our lush 478 acres with friends from all over Brooklyn, New York, and the world.
PRESERVATION – Expert conservators and talented preservation students safeguard the legacy of our extraordinary outdoor museum. And through our Bridge to Crafts Careers program, we're training the next generation of preservationists.
EDUCATION – Our robust Education Department offers unique school programs in history, environment, and art history. Green-Wood’s countless stories, over 100,000 monuments, and nearly 8,000 trees, bring lessons to life through hands-on experiences.
CONSERVATION – Planting trees and caring for "veteran trees" ensures this landscape remains for future Brooklynites to enjoy. Research with partners such as Cornell University, the American Museum of Natural History, and the US Forest Service is making an impact far beyond our gates.
PROGRAMS – We present virtual and in-person arts, cultural, and historical programs year-round, for our diverse and growing audience. From trolley tours to concerts in the catacombs, and from birding to death education—there is something for everyone.
RESEARCH – Our World War II Project seeks to identify every WWII veteran at Green-Wood. It builds on our World War I and Civil War Projects, which have already identified and told the stories of over 5,000 veterans!
